Objectives:
The objective of the activity was to encourage students to promote the use of Swadeshi products by spreading awareness about self-reliance, indigenous manufacturing, and economic sustainability. The initiative aimed to commemorate the ideals and teachings of Swami Vivekananda by fostering national pride, social responsibility, and active student participation in promoting the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

The SDG Club of Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School organized a Run for Promotion of Swadeshi Products on Monday, 12 January 2026, at 04:00 PM on the college ground, in observance of Swami Vivekananda’s Birth Anniversary. The activity witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who actively took part in the run to convey a strong message supporting the use of Swadeshi products.
Through this run, students highlighted the importance of self-reliance, local entrepreneurship, and indigenous production in strengthening the Indian economy. The event also served as a tribute to Swami Vivekananda’s vision of a strong, self-confident, and empowered nation driven by youth participation.
The activity successfully created awareness among students about the relevance of Swadeshi products in today’s globalized economy and reinforced values such as patriotism, sustainability, and social commitment. The event encouraged students to act as responsible citizens by adopting and advocating the use of locally manufactured products in their daily lives.
