Objectives:
1. To promote cultural awareness and appreciation among students by encouraging
them to showcase traditional attire and values through the Ramp Walk competition.
2. To provide a platform for creative expression through the Poetry competition,
allowing students to express their thoughts, emotions, and cultural pride in Hindi,
English, or Marathi.
3. To enhance students’ confidence and stage presence by giving them opportunities to
perform and present themselves in front of an audience.
4. To foster unity and inclusivity by bringing students together to celebrate diverse
traditions, customs, and heritage.
5. To develop communication and presentation skills through participation in cultural
activities, encouraging holistic personality development.
The Traditional Day was celebrated on 18 February 2026 for MBA and PGDM
students in the Seminar Hall of B-School from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The programme
was attended by all teaching and non-teaching staff members, and the respected
Director Sir also graciously gave his valuable time for the event, which added
significance to the celebration. The programme began with a welcome speech
delivered by Ms. Harshada Khatal. Two competitions were organized as part of the
celebration: a Ramp Walk competition and a Poetry competition. The Ramp Walk
competition was judged by Prof. Smriti Shukla, while the Poetry competition was
judged by Prof. Khalid. Students enthusiastically participated and showcased their
confidence, creativity, and cultural pride through their performances. The ramp walks
participants elegantly presented traditional attire, reflecting rich cultural heritage, while
the poetry participants expressed their thoughts and emotions beautifully, making the
event engaging and meaningful. Dr. Asha Kiran addressed the audience and
appreciated the efforts of the organizers and participants. The students’ performances
were truly commendable, and everyone present enjoyed the programme
wholeheartedly. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Janvi,
followed by the distribution of prizes to the winners of both competitions. Overall, the
Traditional Day celebration was a great success and fulfilled its objective of promoting
culture, confidence, and unity among students.
Conclusion: The Traditional Day celebration was a grand success, fostering cultural
pride, confidence, and unity among MBA and PGDM students.
