Under its newly launched Leaders Talk initiative, Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School organized an
industry-led session titled “GCC and the Future of Work: Is India Ready?” on 28th January 2026
from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the Auditorium. The session was delivered by Sarbajit Singh, an
experienced industry professional with deep insights into Global Capability Centers (GCCs) and
evolving global workforce trends.
The session focused on how the future of work is being redefined by the rapid growth of Global
Capability Centers across India. Mr. Singh highlighted how GCCs have evolved from back-office
support units to strategic innovation hubs driving digital transformation, AI adoption, analytics,
and enterprise-wide decision-making for multinational corporations. He emphasized that India
has emerged as a preferred destination for GCCs due to its skilled talent pool, technological
expertise, and cost competitiveness.
The speaker elaborated on how GCCs are shaping global talent strategies, fostering cross-border
collaboration, and creating leadership opportunities for Indian professionals. He discussed the
increasing demand for skills in Artificial Intelligence, data analytics, automation, cybersecurity,

A key highlight of the session was the focused interaction with MBA and PGDM students, where
Mr. Singh addressed questions related to employability, upskilling, global mobility, and the
competencies required to stay relevant in a fast-changing business environment. The discussion
also touched upon the readiness of India to lead the next wave of innovation through policy
support, digital infrastructure, and a strong academic–industry interface.
The session was highly insightful and forward-looking, enabling students to gain clarity on where
management careers are headed and how to proactively prepare for the future of work. The
