Introduction:
The SDG Club of Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School organized the “Sustainable Dressing Competition” on 20 February 2026 in the Seminar Hall. The event was conducted to promote awareness about sustainable fashion and responsible living practices among students. The competition provided a creative platform for students to express their ideas on sustainability through innovative attire and accessories.
Objectives of the Activity:
• To encourage sustainable fashion practices among students.
• To promote awareness about recycling, upcycling, and eco-friendly materials.
• To foster creativity and innovation aligned with environmental responsibility.
• To support the principles of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly responsible consumption and production.
Detailed Report:
Participants designed and presented innovative dresses, footwear, and creative accessories based on sustainability themes. Many students used recycled materials such as newspapers, old fabrics, cardboard, jute, and biodegradable items to create unique outfits.
Each participant walked on stage and explained the concept behind their attire, highlighting the message of environmental conservation, waste reduction, and conscious consumption. The competition was judged on creativity, relevance to the sustainability theme, presentation skills, and overall impact of the message conveyed.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and strong audience engagement. Faculty members appreciated the efforts of the students in creatively addressing the issue of sustainable fashion.
