An FDP on “Professionalism in Education in the 21st Century” was organized by DYPDPU on 14th February 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Room No. 705, School of Management and Research. As per the instructions of Dean Sir, the deputed faculty members attended the program to enhance their academic and professional competencies.
The session was conducted by Umesh Bhushi, Professor Emeritus, Department of Management Studies, Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. The resource person shared valuable insights on the evolving expectations of educators in the 21st century and emphasized the importance of professionalism in teaching, research, mentoring, and institutional development.
The FDP highlighted key aspects such as ethical practices in academia, continuous professional development, outcome-based education, digital pedagogy, student-centric learning approaches, and research orientation. Prof. Bhushi elaborated on how educators must adapt to technological advancements, global academic standards, and changing learner expectations to remain relevant and impactful.
