Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School successfully organized the PGDM Orientation and Inauguration
Ceremony for the 2026–28 Batch, warmly welcoming the newly admitted students and their
parents to the institution. The programme marked the beginning of an exciting academic
journey, introducing students to the institute's vision, values, academic ecosystem, and
commitment to developing future-ready management professionals.
The event commenced with registration and interaction sessions, followed by the formal
inauguration featuring the National Anthem, Lighting of the Lamp, Saraswati Vandana, and
a traditional welcome dance.
The Director welcomed the gathering and highlighted the institute's focus on academic
excellence, innovation, industry integration, and holistic student development. The ceremony
was graced by Hon. Dr. Somnath P. Patil, Pro-Chancellor, Dnyaan Prasad Global University
and Secretary, Dr. D. Y. Patil Unitech Society, and Hon. Dr. Rohini Somnath Patil, Chief
Operating Officer, Dnyaan Prasad Global University. Addressing the students and parents, Dr.
Rohini Patil encouraged students to embrace continuous learning, ethical leadership, and
professional excellence throughout their PGDM journey.
A presentation showcasing the institute's academic achievements, industry collaborations,
placements, international initiatives, and student development activities provided an overview of
the opportunities available at Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School.
The programme also featured a virtual address by Mr. Sachin Phanshikar, Chief Operating
Officer, Business Standard, who emphasized the importance of staying informed about business
and industry trends. The keynote address by Mr. Krishna Iyer, Non-Executive Director &
Board Member, Angel One, inspired students to step beyond their comfort zones, develop
leadership capabilities, and maximize every learning opportunity during their two-year PGDM
programme.
The ceremony concluded with a Vote of Thanks and Pasayadan, followed by an exclusive
Parent Interaction Session, where senior faculty members addressed parents queries regarding
academics, mentoring, discipline, placements, and student development initiatives. The event
concluded with a networking High Tea for students, parents, faculty members, and guests.
The Orientation and Inauguration Ceremony successfully set the tone for the PGDM 2026–28
batch, reinforcing the institution's commitment to academic excellence, ethical leadership,
industry readiness, and holistic development.
