Objectives:
The Canva Poster Making Competition was organized to encourage students to develop creative
thinking, digital design skills, teamwork, and effective visual communication. The competition
aimed to enhance students' understanding of emerging business concepts through innovative
poster designs using Canva. It also provided participants with hands-on experience in applying
technology and creativity to communicate business ideas effectively.

Briefing Session (9 July 2026 | 2:00 PM- 3:00 PM)
A briefing session was conducted one day prior to the competition to familiarize students with the
event guidelines, evaluation criteria, and the Canva platform. Participants were introduced to the
objectives of the competition, poster design principles, and best practices for creating impactful
visual content. The themes of the competition were also explained in detail, enabling students to
understand the expectations and prepare accordingly.
Competition (10 July 2026 | 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM)
The Poster Making Competition was conducted with enthusiastic participation from PGDM
students, who competed in teams of three members each. Every team designed an original poster
using Canva, demonstrating creativity, innovation, and effective visual storytelling.
The posters were created on one of the following contemporary business themes:
• AI in Business
• Future of Work
• Smart Organisation
• Digital Transformation
Participants incorporated relevant graphics, icons, typography, and infographics to present their
ideas in an engaging and professional manner. The competition encouraged students to integrate
technology with business knowledge while showcasing their design and communication skills.
The posters were evaluated by Dr. Lokesh and Dr. Asha based on creativity, relevance to the
theme, originality, visual appeal, clarity of message, and effective use of Canva design tools.
After careful evaluation, Team 10 was declared the winner for presenting an outstanding poster
that effectively communicated the assigned theme through innovative design and impactful
content.

The Canva Poster Making Competition successfully blended creativity with business learning,
providing students with an engaging platform to express innovative ideas through digital design.
The activity promoted experiential learning by encouraging participants to apply contemporary
business concepts in a visually appealing format. Overall, the event enhanced students'
technological competency, teamwork, and presentation skills while fostering healthy competition
and creative thinking.
