Objectives:
The objective of the corporate session was to introduce students to the importance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), entrepreneurship, innovation, and global career opportunities. The session aimed to encourage students to develop creative thinking, protect their ideas, build an entrepreneurial mindset, and enhance their professional skills through continuous learning, including the acquisition of foreign language proficiency.

As part of the PGDM Batch 2026-28 Induction Ceremony, Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School, Pune organized an insightful Corporate Session by CS. Adv. Kunal (Kamath) Sarpal, Founding & Managing Partner, White Collar Legal LLP.
The session commenced with a warm introduction of the guest speaker by Dr. Sunita Ramchandani. The felicitation of the guest was carried out by Dr. Asha Kiran Shikhakoli, Head of Academics, Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School, as a token of appreciation for his presence and valuable contribution.
During the session, Mr. Sarpal highlighted the importance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and explained how ideas, innovations, trademarks, patents, and copyrights are valuable assets. Through examples of renowned celebrities and experiences from his own clients, he demonstrated the significance of protecting intellectual property.
He encouraged students to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset, generate innovative business ideas, and explore startup opportunities. He also emphasized the importance of learning foreign languages to enhance career prospects, work with multinational organizations, and succeed in the global business environment.
The session concluded with an engaging question-and-answer session, where students actively interacted with the speaker and gained practical insights into innovation, entrepreneurship, and career development. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Ms. Khushi, who expressed gratitude to the speaker, dignitaries, faculty members, and students for making the session informative and inspiring.
The Corporate Session was highly enriching and motivated the newly inducted PGDM students to think creatively, protect their ideas, and prepare themselves for successful careers in the corporate and entrepreneurial world.
