Objectives of the Session

  • To introduce students to the vision, mission, and objectives of the Center for Human
    Resource Management & Research .
  •  To create awareness about career opportunities and emerging trends in Human Resource
    Management.
  • To familiarize students with HR research, people analytics, talent management, and
    organizational development.
  •  To encourage students to participate in HR-focused workshops, live projects, industry
    interactions, and research initiatives.
  •  To develop leadership, communication, interpersonal, and people management
    competencies essential for HR professionals.
  •  To motivate students to pursue professional certifications and experiential learning
    opportunities in the field of Human Resource Management.

    Report on Session:

    The Center for Human Resource Management & Research (CHRMR) organized an
    orientation session for the PGDM students to introduce them to the Centre's vision, activities, and
    opportunities for academic and professional growth in the field of Human Resource Management.
    The session was conducted by Dr. Aditi Aljapurkar, Head of the Human Resource Department,
    who possesses extensive academic and industry expertise in Human Resource Management,
    Organizational Behaviour, and Talent Development.

    During the session, Dr. Aditi Aljapurkar emphasized the strategic role of Human Resource
    Management in achieving organizational success. She explained how the HR function has evolved
    from being an administrative role to becoming a strategic business partner responsible for talent

    acquisition, employee engagement, leadership development, performance management, and
    organizational effectiveness.

    Dr. Aljapurkar introduced the various initiatives undertaken by the Centre, including HR research
    projects, industry interactions, HR conclaves, expert talks, case study competitions, HR analytics
    workshops, psychometric assessments, and leadership development programmes. She encouraged
    students to actively participate in these activities to gain practical exposure and enhance their
    professional competencies.

    The session also highlighted emerging trends in Human Resource Management, such as people
    analytics, artificial intelligence in recruitment, employee well-being, diversity and inclusion,
    learning and development, digital HR transformation, and strategic workforce planning. Through
    real-life examples and industry case studies, the speaker demonstrated how HR professionals
    contribute to building high-performing organizations and creating a positive workplace culture.
    An interactive question-and-answer session enabled students to clarify their queries regarding
    career opportunities in Human Resources, required competencies, internships, certifications, and
    research opportunities. Dr. Aljapurkar motivated students to continuously develop their
    communication, analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills while embracing lifelong learning
    and ethical professional practices.

    The orientation session successfully provided students with a comprehensive understanding of the
    Center for Human Resource Management & Research and its role in promoting academic
    excellence, research, innovation, and industry engagement. The programme inspired students to
    actively participate in the Centre's initiatives and prepare themselves for successful careers as
    competent and socially responsible Human Resource professionals.
