Objective(s)
The session aimed to inspire students to explore entrepreneurship, innovation, and
intrapreneurship by learning from the real-life journey of a successful entrepreneur. The program
encouraged students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and understand the importance of
innovation in today's dynamic business environment.
Brief Report
The Startup & Innovation Cell (S&IC), in association with the Institution's Innovation Council
(IIC), organized an inspiring session titled "Success Story of an Entrepreneur" on 20th July 2026.
The session featured Mr. Amol Nitave, Founder of EvolvingX, India's First StartupWadi,
entrepreneur, startup mentor, TEDx speaker, innovator, and author.
The program commenced with an orientation session conducted by Ms. Ishita Sil, Faculty
Coordinator of S&IC and IIC. She introduced the students to the vision and objectives of the
Startup & Innovation Cell and Institution's Innovation Council. She highlighted the importance of
startups, innovation, entrepreneurship, and intrapreneurship in today's competitive business
environment. Ms. Ishita encouraged students to actively participate in innovation-driven activities,
startup initiatives, hackathons, idea competitions, and incubation programs offered through the
institution.
Following the orientation, Mr. Amol Nitave delivered an engaging and motivational session by
sharing his entrepreneurial journey. He spoke about the challenges, failures, and learning
experiences that shaped his path as an entrepreneur. Through real-life examples, he explained how
identifying problems, embracing innovation, taking calculated risks, and maintaining
perseverance are essential for building successful ventures.
Mr. Nitave also elaborated on the startup ecosystem in India, the process of transforming
innovative ideas into viable business models, and the significance of customer-centric innovation.
He discussed various aspects of entrepreneurship, including opportunity identification, business
validation, value creation, networking, funding opportunities, and the role of innovation in
achieving sustainable business growth. He motivated students to think creatively, develop
problem-solving skills, and cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset irrespective of their career
aspirations.
The interactive session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who actively engaged
in discussions and sought guidance on startup ideas, career opportunities, and innovation
practices. Mr. Nitave addressed their queries and encouraged them to pursue innovative solutions
for real-world challenges.
