Objectives:
The Rotaract Club of Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School, Pune organized a Raksha Bandhan Celebration on 28th August 2026 to celebrate the spirit of love, protection, respect, and social bonding.
The celebration aimed to extend the spirit of Raksha Bandhan beyond traditional family relationships by expressing respect, gratitude, and appreciation towards individuals who contribute to the safety, cleanliness, smooth functioning, and well-being of the institution and society.

The Rotaract Club of Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School, Pune organized a meaningful Raksha Bandhan Celebration on 28th August 2026. The initiative was designed to recognize and appreciate the people who play an important role in ensuring safety, security, cleanliness, and the effective functioning of the institution.
As part of the celebration, Rotaractors interacted with and tied Rakhis to police personnel at Wakad Police Station, security guards, housekeeping staff, institute staff, and other supporting staff members. The gesture was a symbol of respect, gratitude, care, and appreciation for their valuable contribution to the institution and society.
At Wakad Police Station, the Rotaractors expressed their gratitude towards police personnel for their continuous commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety of citizens. The celebration also acknowledged the contribution of security guards, who work diligently to maintain a safe and secure campus environment.
The Rotaractors further extended the celebration to the housekeeping staff and supporting staff of the institute, recognizing their essential contribution to maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, discipline, and the smooth day-to-day functioning of the campus. Institute staff and other members of the support team were also included in the celebration as an expression of appreciation for their dedicated services.
The initiative provided students with an opportunity to understand that every individual, irrespective of their role or designation, contributes significantly to creating a safe, supportive, and positive environment. It promoted values of respect, empathy, inclusivity, gratitude, community service, and social responsibility among the Rotaractors.
The celebration successfully transformed Raksha Bandhan into a broader message of care, respect, and acknowledgement, making the occasion meaningful for both the students and the people whose services are integral to the community and institution.
